Potential Energy Art

Here is an experimental art piece I made for my home office last spring.



From a few feet away it looks a little like some antique textile, but it's actually about 1,000 firecrackers. (Click on image to enlarge.) My friend Peter has suggested that I attach a countdown clock set to hit zero on my 40th birthday.
