Snow day!

A surprise work-at-home snowday today! It's wintery grey out but beautiful, so I took a few snaps of the outside of the house (and one of the cozy living room by the crackling fire DVD.) I'll try for a few evening snaps as well.

Potential Energy Art

Here is an experimental art piece I made for my home office last spring.



From a few feet away it looks a little like some antique textile, but it's actually about 1,000 firecrackers. (Click on image to enlarge.) My friend Peter has suggested that I attach a countdown clock set to hit zero on my 40th birthday.
