asleep like cattle…

I Go Among Trees and Sit Still

I go among trees and sit still.
All my stirring becomes quiet
Around me like circles on water.
My tasks lie in their places
Where I left them, asleep like cattle…

Then what I am afraid of comes.
I live for a while in its sight.
What I fear in it leaves it,
And the fear of it leaves me.
It sings, and I hear its song.

Paddle Withe Pride

It was almost 4 years ago that my Dad and I paddled 27 miles down the Hudson from Nyack to Chelsea Piers to raise money for the LGBT Center in New York City. It was a great cause, a great event, and a great accomplishment.

Check out the Team Coyne Web Page to see more pictures and read a recap of the event.
